Indulge in premium Honeybush Teas from Quite The Stir Tea and Spice Company!

Honeybush tea is a type of herbal tea known as a tisane. It is naturally sweet tea, and grown only in the coastal and majestic mountainous areas of South Africa.

Honeybush tea comes from the Cyclopia intermedia plant, which means it is not derived from the Camellia sinensis plant, whose leaves and leaf buds are used to produce tea-white tea, green tea, black tea, and Oolong tea.
Honeybush tea has a honey-like aroma and taste. By the way, Honeybush tea is closely related to rooibos tea you may know and love. Honeybush tea has a similar but sweeter taste as compared to rooibos tea. The two are often blended to make rooibos honeybush tea and are incredibly healthy.
Honeybush is the sweeter of the two, as the name implies, and rooibos tastes woodier. Rooibos tea is naturally caffeine-free, like honeybush tea; both are delectable.
Honeybush has yellow flowers that have the scent of honey, thus its name. There are over 20 species of the plant, but only a few are employed commercially to make tea.
Honeybush tea has been popular in South Africa and has become more widely available internationally since the late 1990s.
